Since 1743, Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co. Ltd. has been producing and marketing distilled spirits, cooking sake, liquor and other alcoholic beverages since 1743. Hakutsuru Sake Brewing also sells beer, soy sauce, soft drinks and other food products.

The company's oldest brewery building, located in its main store (which was used until about 1970), has been converted into a museum. The traditional process of making sake is described in detail with objects such as life-size figurines, so that visitors can easily understand what a brewery was like in those days and how sake is made from start to finish.
