Bentō (弁 当) is a convenient, traditional meal that is ready to eat out of the house. Bentō is commonly referred to as o-bentō, with the prefix “o” being a mark of respect that underscores its importance in Japanese civilization and daily life.

Jūbako (重 箱) are multi-tiered boxes used to hold and display food to make beautiful bento boxes. The boxes can also be used to hold osechi, traditional Japanese New Year foods.
