More info

The bentō (弁 当) is a Japanese term designating the quick meal or snack contained in a box taken outside the house but also a way to present the unique and extremely popular dish in Japan.
The bentō is generally called o-bentō, the prefix 'o' being a mark of respect which underlines its importance in Japanese civilization and daily life.

Matsuri are popular festivals in all parts of Japan. Very often, it is a celebration with a religious vocation in order to celebrate an important deity or god.On this occasion, we can attend fireworks, children play together and many colorful parades take place in the streets of the villages. Music and collective dances are accompanied by floats.Among this set of local festivals, some have become very important. This is the case with the Aoi matsuri, which takes place every year on May 15 in Kyoto. One of its symbols is the chariot drawn by oxen, as a call to good agricultural harvests.
